Kriptonite is an Italian company specializing in the production of furniture and home accessories, renowned for its innovative and functional design. Since its funding in Milan in 1984, Kriptonite has become a leader in interior design combining minimalist aesthetics with functionality. 1984 – Beginnings
Kriptonite's first experiments with aluminum took place in a charming warehouse in Milan with barrel vaults that resembled a crypt, inspiring the company's name.
1985 - First products
Kriptonite starts producing clocks and lamps inspired by the design of major railway stations. The minimalist, industrial touch Italian homes.
1990 - Showroom
Kriptonite establishes its headquarters and showroom in Piazza XXV Aprile in Milan, where it still resides today. Production expands to include pieces that have since become iconic.
2000 - Bookcases
The first line of Kriptonite’s bookcases is launched: modular units that anticipate the minimalist and industrial trends.
2024 - Today
Kriptonite remains committed to its entirely artisanal production at its Milan headquarter and to its philosophy: designing durable and adaptable systems that meet the customization and versatility needs of every space.
